Hello my beautiful best friends!!!
This post is for those of you who have blindly clicked on my link from social media, the ones who have just stumbled upon my page by chance or even for the people who are just looking for a little more information about my plans for the next year.
I do have an ‘about me’ page on this blog that you are welcome to read. (There should be a tab to the left that will take you there).
But, for this I thought I would write a little less about me and a little more about God, and what He has planned for me over this next year.
For those of you that don’t know I am graduating high school this year and instead of heading straight to college, I am taking a year off and going on The World Race Gap Year!!! Looking back, I know that God has been preparing me for this all along. I have always had a soft spot for mission work, and God knew that I have always wanted to travel. It just so happened that what I wanted and what God had planned for me lined up perfectly! (I always love when it works out that way!)
The World Race Gap Year is a 9-month mission trip created for college age students to journey through 3 different continents to spread the Gospel. On my trip, I will be visiting the Dominican Republic, Haiti, South Africa, Botswana, and the Philippines. Through the World Race, I will be able to serve in partnership with churches and ministries in local communities to preach the Gospel, plant churches, work in orphanages, minister to women and children trapped in prostitution as a result of human trafficking, and bring the hope of the Father’s love to many tribes and nations.
Though this past year of my life has been particularly crazy and filled with uneasiness and uncertainty, God has continually shown me that His plans for me are so much bigger than anything that I could ever dream of and that all of my worrying is senseless.
I will face many challenges throughout my journey, but as I prepare for my departure in September, I would like to ask for your help in two ways. First, for your continued prayers for both myself and the team that will accompany me on the trip. Secondly, I would like to ask you to consider supporting me financially so that I am able to go on this trip. The total cost of my trip is $14,951. This money will cover all of my field expenses for the 9 months of the trip. Donations of ANY amount would be tremendously appreciated.
If you would like to donate, the process is superrrr easy! Just click the orange button that says “Donate!” at the top of the page on my blog, enter in all of your information, and you’re all done!!!
An enormous THANK YOU to everyone who is supporting me on this journey!
