Exactly what the title says!

Doing admin stuff last month was a blessing and gave me the opportunity to experience forms of ministry thitherto I was unfamiliar with, but on my off days/adventure days, instead of getting out and smelling the roses… I kinda just crashed on my bed (typical millenial, I know, I know).

BUT, as a treat from our host last month in Romania we were able to to take a couple days to visit a few places throughout Romania! What’s more, our host city, Alba Iulia, had some pretty deep historical importance, and Sofia, Bulgaria (where we had our debrief) was also rife with the sweet and compelling aroma of ancient times!

There, that was short- Time for something sweet!

Remember to click on the pictures as many have a story or… some manner of commentary. Enjoy!

I’m sorry, I’m sorry, but the history buff in me is dying! So the story of Dracula is of course fictitious and the man Bram Stoker got the inspiration from, Vlad also known as Vlad the Impaler, honestly wasn’t any worse in his cruelty than most other medieval rulers. The real kicker is that this isn’t even his castle- he was only imprisoned in this castle for 3 days! I know, that part I didn’t know going there and it was a real let down. I felt pretty cheated, to be honest, but I let it slide because it was a neat experience. All is well in the end; good times with GREAT people!

Alright, well I have a TON more photos I want to share, but being honest the process of uploading all these pics is long and tedious, so as this seems like a natural stop and halfway point in my adventures I’ve had, so I’ll save the rest for a part 2 blog hopefully coming your way in a few days.

Thanks for stopping in- hope you enjoyed! Until next time, God bless and.. well, bon voyage!
