So here we are entering month 3 in Ireland.  It’s about 2 weeks in and the Lord is definately making His presence known.  We left Romania a little unsure about what we had in store for the coming weeks.  The contact we initially we going to be working with in Galway ended being unable to use our teams for the month of August.  AIM was able to find us a new contact in Greystones that we could work with, but it was only going to be for a little less than two weeks.  Needless to say we prayed fervently for new contact opportunites to arise.  Well soon after we arrived in Greystones and had the opportunity to speak with Jim and Kathy (our contacts) we were welcomed to stay as long as we needed in their home, even though they would be gone for nearly two weeks!  So here we are, staying in a beautiful home, being given the chance to set this house up to host more World Race teams year round.  We’ve also had the chance to meet some travelers in and around the area as well as handing out leaflets and tracks to passers by in Dublin.
This past weekend we didn’t really have any ministries set up so a few of us made some plans of our own.  Casey and myself, as well as Heather and Kyle decided to hop on a ferry and see London.  We were able to arrive early Saturday evening and see some beautiful sites at night.  The next day we decided to head down to Spekers corner which is by a park in London where people speak about any and everything you can imagine.  We happened to see a table teaching about Islam so Kyle and I went and talked to the gentleman who was there.  We listened to what he had to say and asked him a few questions then shared our views of Christ with him.  It was a very open discussion, but to be honest, neither Kyle nor I thought it went so well.  The gentleman was very well spoken and very confident in his views and beliefs.  While this discussion was going on, another man came up to me (a small crowd had started to gather) and started asking me about Christ.  Initially I thought this man just wanted to debate and criticize, based on the types of questions he had.  It turned out he was truly just curious and wanted to know more.  Even after the conversation with the muslim man had finished this man followed us and continuted to ask questions.  Kyle was able to speak some more and the man really wanted to know all he could about what it was to sin and what forgiveness and grace from Christ really meant.  Looking back I can definately see how God used the discussion we were having to bring the man to us, but the man didn’t really listen to anything that was being said during that discussion.  He was focused on getting answers to the questions he had.  I never know if I’m conveying very well what I’m seeing God do, but there truly is no way that this event could have happened if God where not directing all of our actions.
So that’s it for now, I really need to get better at this whole blog thing………….
Take care!
