Hello Friends and Family,

We are now heading into our third month of ministry and have been amazed by all the wonderful opportunities we have been given. Our race route has changed since our last update. We will no longer be going to Isreal and Egypt but instead will be going to two countries in Central America. Although we were excited about our initial race route, we are even more excited about what God has for us. We’ve raised more than $20,000. We could not have done this without our faithful supporters. You guys are a huge blessing and we can not possibly thank you enough. We only have $8,600 left to go! We have been so amazed how God has provided so far and we know he will continue. We ask that you would pray for us and if the Lord places on your heart to give we would be so thankful!

We have now completed two months of ministry on the race and are amazed at what God has done. In Ukraine the guys on our team did a lot of manual labor; helped build bathrooms, rooms, bridges, etc. They were such a great example of being open and willing to serve in any compacity needed. The girls worked in the kitchen and built relationships with the staff. It was a great month overall, we truly experienced what it means to have a heart of a servant and the importance of spending time with our father.

This month in Romania has been wonderful. We have been able to show love to Gypsy children, and the women at Jubilee. Jubilee is a place for women who have had difficult lives and have not been able to fully move past them. We have also been given the opportunity to have several ATL(Ask the Lord) days. We come to the Lord in prayer and submit ourselves to his leading and where he would have us go and speak with. Tom, Heather and I headed out in obedience and excited for what he had in store. As we were walking we came across a woman. She asked for a smoke but I felt that she was the person we were meant to minister to. She did not speak any English but with the little bit of Romanian we knew tried to communicate. We found out her name was Keta and then pointed to her arm where she had a tattoo of the name David. She then motioned as if she were holding baby. She pointed towards the alley and motioned for us to follow. We followed her into an ally and as we arrived saw a tiny baby, only 3 months old lying on cardboard next to a woman named Maria. Next to them was a dog house filled with blankets which we later realized was where David slept. As soon as I walked up and saw David on the ground my heart broke, I so despirately wanted to take care of him. He was so small and fragel. I then asked if I could hold him and she gladly gave him to me. He was such a beautiful little boy and I knew he was a child of God. I noticed he was wheezing and began praying for him. We began singing and as soon as I did David’s wheezing stopped. As long as I was singing or humming his wheezing was gone but the moment I stopped it returned. I’m not exactly sure why it happened that way but I hope that he felt God’s presence and love through my words even though he could not understand.

I was reminded how that morning the Lord spoke so clearly if they are hungry, will you feed them? If they are thirsty will we give them a drink? If they are naked will we clothe them? I knew this was what he was calling us to do. We went to a Sub shop and got the women meals and made sure they had more than enough. We enjoyed spending time with them and showing them that God will always provide. Heather drew pictures of how Jesus loved them. We did not have the words to say but the Lord reminded me that HIS LOVE transcends all language barriers. We prayed that the Lord would use us to encourage someone’s spirit and let them know how much God loved them and he did just that. We will be going back today to love on them and bring food and clothes. The Lord has called us to provied food, clothing, etc, for those in need and we are blessed that he has chosen us to do so.

Prayer Request:

We are in constant pursuit of opportunities that God has put before us and we hope and pray that we will be given a boldness of the Holy Spirit and Strength to see through all of God’s plans for us.
