in other words…. Nepal is good for your soul !!!

I tell you the truth. Anyone who will not reveive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it. Mark 10:15

This month my team & I have had the honor of living and working at an orphanage. Conveniently, the children had a 2 week school vacation while we were there providing optimum soul refreshing time.

All 13 of these children have found a special place in my heart, and if Nepal wasn’t closed for adoption there’d be some coming home with me 🙂 (okay maybe not, but one day!)

Can you think of a better way to start your day then to walk downstairs and be greated by 13 smiling faces and 13 hugs?

We played countless rounds of BINGO, made countless trips to the park, took them to the zoo (I was sick that afternoon and missed out, but the children told me all about it!), played countless rounds of “shaky shaky” (a funny song/dance game here), and watched a few movies (Jungle Book was a big hit).

One day we surprised them with a scavenger hunt when they arrived home from school. I have never seen those kids run so fast! At every location they had to complete a fun challenge to get the next clue, all of which eventually led up to the roof balcony where candy and a new basketball awaited them!

For Christ so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal live. John 3:16

In love he predestined us to be adopted as sons through Jesus Christ. Ephesians 1:5

Now if we are children we are heirs – heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory. Romans 8:16

I am so thankful for this month and all that has come with it.
