In Malaysia last month, there were countless Holy Spirit-filled interactions. Below are a list of a few that might give you a sense of how the month went. Nearly everyday was like this to some degree! A truly amazing month!

– In Penang, I approached a Chinese woman who was walking with a cane and asked if she was in need of healing. She was with three friends and one of them acted as a translator. I learned that the woman with the cane was experiencing a level 10 with regards to pain in her knee. She was open to having me pray for her which I did, and I then checked in with her as to what the pain level was. She expressed that it had disappeared! She bent her knee up and smiled joyously with her friends. Thank You, Jesus!

– As I was walking in Langkawi, I saw a Dutch girl walking with crutches. I approached her to see if she wanted prayer and she stated that she had injured her achilles and the pain was at a 7. I prayed with her and the pain only dropped to a 6. I gave thanks and prayed again. She then said that the pain dropped to a 3 and she started to move her foot and ankle more with a bit of surprise. I told her Jesus loves her to which she replied, “I think I love Jesus…too.”

– I saw an older Chinese woman in a wheelchair with her family. I asked her if she would like prayer for her legs and found out that she could walk but was very weak. We prayed and she stood up from the wheelchair and started moving with a decent amount of energy! She expressed to her son, who translated to me, that she felt much better. Thank You, Jesus! I asked her son if they were Buddhists and he said they were. I then reassured them that, through Jesus, they need not be concerned about reincarnation; they could access a realm free of suffering and not be forced to take another birth as many Buddhists and Hindus believe. Buddhists and Hindus want to be free but have accepted that they’ll probably have to take on many more lifetimes since it’s so difficult to attain nirvana and moksha. I conveyed to them that God is Merciful and offers a way out through Christ since Jesus died to free us from the punishment of our negative karma or sin. The man was grateful to receive this news and said he’d relay it to his mother.

As I was praying with them, there was an Indian man on the side who witnessed everything and asked if we could talk. He was a Christian but had been losing faith. We ended up speaking for over an hour and had an incredibly inspirational conversation. He and I have become friends and I’m excited to see what Jesus continues to do in his life.

– I had an amazing spiritual conversation with an Eastern European brother at an Indian restaurant in Penang one afternoon. That night, I went back to the restaurant and he happened to be there with some friends. There was an Indian couple sitting next to me and the woman had her hand wrapped in gauze. I asked her if she wanted prayer and she agreed. After praying in Jesus’ name, the pain radically dropped and she was able to start bending her fingers. Her partner and her were amazed and quite joyful. It was especially wonderful because the man who I had spoken to about Christ that afternoon was there to witness it and was completely stunned. Go, Jesus!!

I’m currently in Lesotho and will be sharing some stories from here soon : )
