Liesl, Clara, Estee and Dude

A big ama-hellohello to you! We welcome you on our website!

Ama-who!!??? Our name means the following: ama is a group and jikaleza means to go around to different places. It’s a Xhosa name, proudly South African! We are four individuals determined to change the world by seeking God in every country we visit and every person we meet.

We introduce you to our tribe of Ama-Jikalezas: Clara Miles from Stutterheim, Anthony “Dude” Jacobs from Natal, Estee Stander from Witbank and Liesl Roos from Centurion. We come from all over South Africa, but are united in one tribe, the tribe of God.

“The spirit of the sovereign Lord is on me, because the Lord has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor and the day of vengeance of our God to comfort all who mourn.” The words of Isaiah 61:1-2 is our passion for this year and forever.

This is the Ama-Jikalezas’ vision for 2006:
1. We are God-seekers! We will seek God in a young child laughing, the suffering of India, the fellowship of our tribe and even in the darkest of times.
2. Supporting our fellow teams when they are weak.
3. Being an everlasting spring whose water will give life and comfort the afflicted.
4.Serving : I being less, you being more.
5. Binding this all together with love.

We invite to become an Ama-Jikaleza by praying fervently for us, travelling with us in your hearts and supporting us financially.

“The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.” – Luke 10:2
