We are all doing better!
These past few days have been very trying healthwise for our team, but the good news is that we are all doing better! Stefan and Lana caught a stomach-bug in San Pedro and struggled for two days to recover. Fortunately Jacques has been doing fine through everything (we needed someone do look after us!) and was a great help around camp! Anita also caught the (or A) bug, but her body reacted quite differently than the rest of ours. She spent last night iwith Lana to keep an eey on her in hospital and had to get rehidrated with some added antibiotics. The good news is that she was able to come home this morning and is doing MUCH better! We want to thank everyone for the prayers and support we received during this trying time – God has been SO faithful and we can only testify about His Greatness! Lana and Anita were able to minister to other patients in the same ward and we believe that hearts were touched during the night. There is a whole mission field just inside of the hospital and we thank the Lord for giving us a first-hand look at the desperate need the local people are in. The hospitals here are not at all at the same standard as what we are used to back home, but the docters are competent and we are thankful that they could give Anita much-needed medical care.
Stefan and Jacques will be joining us soon, since they have been working at the daycare centre in San Pedro while we were on the other side of the lake at the hospital. Once more thank you for all the prayers – God has been faithful as always!
“All things are possible, only believe!”
