JESUS LOVES YOU ALL VERY MUCH…
Unfortunately, our time of ministry in “Jee Sure Shun” (this is how you pronounce the name of the town we worked in) has come to an end. We have REALLY grown to love the locals dearly, and they have climbed deeply into our hearts. Every day was characterized by friendly visits, gifts and special treats by newly-made friends. We will always remember these beautiful people, and trust the Lord of the harvest to send labourers to the HUGE harvest in “Jee Sure Shun”. Our hearts ached to say goodbye to our new friends, but we believe that the Lord is still going to do a Great Work in this town!
Jacques and Stefan had a very unique experience after being invited by some young men to their school. The two of them had the chance to play “ping pong” (table tennis) with the guys, and then were invited to one of their classes. Our two brave team mates then sang “Jabulani” (a South African song of prayer and blessing) to the class full of children, and before long, the WHOLE SCHOOL was standing outside the class, cheering them on (see the photo above)! They were also bold enough to write “Jesus Loves You All Very Much” board. Stefan and Jacques also spent some time with the English Teachers at the school, and they had a lot of fun while bringing the Gospel to the children in a very simple way.
Please pray with us for the people of “Jee Sure Shun”:
– That longterm missionaries will come to build relationships with the locals and share the Gospel in their own language.
– Pray that the children will be risen up as a generation that will KNOW the Lord and serve Him with boldness.
– Ask the Lord to “water our prayers” that we prayed over the town, that it will bring fruit in the lives of the local people.
– That Bibles will become available and that the Lord will reveal His secrets to them in dreams and visions.
Please keep us in your prayers as we travel to Tibet early tomorrow morning. We might not have access to internet for at least the next week, but we will keep you updated as soon as possible.
