Trees by a Stream

Psalm 1:1-3

Blessed is the man
who does not walk in the coucel of the wicked
or stand in the way of sinners or sit in the seat of moackers.
But his delight is in the law of the Lord, and on his law he
meditates day and night.
He is like a tree planyed by streams of water, which yields its fruit in
season and whose leaf does not wither.
Whatever he does prospers.

These Words really speak a whole lot. Think about a tree and a stream. Think about the qualities of both.

The best place for a tree to be would be by a stream. There the tree is going to be fed at al times. The stream is constantly flowing, and constantly nurishing the trees around it. As the tree continues to be fed, the tree begins to grow. The roots begin to grow and the tree itself begins to grow.

No matter what the weather is, a stream still flows, bad weather does not stop the stream from flowing, but often adds to the flow or or speads up the flow of the stream.

I want that, I want to constantly be growing if my walk with Jesus. I want to be always be getting nurished by the Lord and be open to what he is teaching me.

The one that we get to choose and a tree doesnt is how close to the stream that we want to be. We can choose to be far off in the forest and only get some rain here and there, or we can choose to be directly next to the stream. This does not instantly happen, we have to let our roots settle and get use to a few things, but that doesnt mean that it isnt the best thing for us.

This is just rambling, but hopefully my point is getting across.
