Hola from Antigua Guatemala. The Lord is doing some amazing things here and I can not wait to share them wit you.

First, I will start with an update from Paul. He has been ministering to a girl named Nydia. She is 26 years old and one of the most beautiful girls that you have ever seen. Paul has been ministering to this girl since the day that we got here. The Lord has broken his heart for her. He has been talking to her a lot about her salvation and reading the bible with her daily. The other day, the Lord was so faithful and answered Paul´s (and all of ours) prayers and she accepted Christ!!! Praise the Lord!!!

I got to go see her and meet her the other day and she is so brightful and a pleasure to be around. Friske painted her fingernails for her the other day and she want Jessica and I to come back and color her hair, so we´ll see how that goes.

Thursday Jessica and I went out to do street ministry in the park and on the streets. We had ring pops to give the kids, along with tracks, and were going to buy the bread to go with it all. When we found out that someone had taken her camera out of her purse. We were not going to let Satan stop us from ministering, so we pushed through, stomped on his head and defeated him in the name of Jesus.

We had a wonderful day of ministry that day. We were able to talk to several kids and older people and pray healing over 2 older ladies.

That night was the English worship service. It was something that we all needed and it was amazing. We sang the song ¨Give me Jesus¨ talking about you can take everything away, just give me Jesus. That really hit home with all of our team. (Since the majority of us have been hit so hard.) Then Bruce (the pastor) spoke on ¨Joy Robbers¨ and people and things that try to steal your joy. How to focus on what God is doing and not what is happening. Pray God´s blessings over the people that try to steal your joy. When you feel like you are giving EVERYTHING (like we are doing) for nothing…rejoice because you are being obedient and in that obedience the seed will come. Do not base your joy on human performance, but on God and your relationship with Him. Pray that you won’t benefit but that others will…you will have your chance to be rewarded. ARE YOU BEING ROBBED?… ¨Rejoice in the LORD always, again I say rejoice¨.

Wow…we all sat there and grinned at each other through the whole thing because it hit home with us and the Lord was using that time to remind us that He is here and to not let anything take our joy away.

Friday I got to go to the hospital and minister with the babies there. They are so precious. To think about their innocence and the way that the world rejects them just because of what they look like breaks my heart. As I sat and held those precious babies the Lord broke my heart for them in a new kind of way. I was able to see past their deformities and the Lord gave me His heart for them. I had to hold back my tears as I held them, loved on them, fed them, and saw the way the Father feels about them.

The Lord continues to amaze me everyday with the way that He shows me His heart and things through His eyes. Be careful what you pray for is a saying that you always here, it´s so true. I have asked for over 2 years that the Lord give me His heart, His eyes and He is doing this now more than ever. Praise the Lord!!!! I am so excited and look forward to more.

There is a family that sits on the street and begs for money everyday. It is a young mom (about the age of 23 or so) and a 9 year old little boy and a 2 year old little boy. Everyday the Lord breaks my heart and Jessica´s heart more and more for this family.

You can tell that they are very very poor and that they have nothing but each other. The mom is very sick. She can not even sit up. She leans against a wall all day because she is too weak to hold herself up. We have bought food for them several times and have talked to the kids with the little Spanish that we know. Please pray for us as we go to minister to this family this week. We are going to take a translator with us so we can talk to the mom. Pray for the salvation of this mom and kids and for our God of miracles to heal her so she can take care of her precious children.

After a full week of ministry we decided to take a break and have a day to relax and hang out, so…Yesterday was a great relaxing day. We all (and some of the people from here) went to this place that had pools, soccer fields, etc. It caught us off guard at first and reminded us we were not in the States anymore. We pictured we were going to a place with grass fields and nice pools and we pulled up into a gravel pit surrounded by mountains and concrete. But, we made the most of it.

We climbed about an hour or so up the mountain and got some much needed excercise. The view from the top was gorgeous. Antigua has to volcanoes one active and one inactive and from the top of this mountain you could see both, it was unbelievable.

Then we came down the mountain and the guys played soccer while the girls laid at the pool. Yes, we all got a little red, but it will all be tan in time.

We thank you for your faithfulness in keeping up with us and keeping us in our prayers.

This week we are planning our way to LA from Panajachel. Please keep us in your prayers as we listen and wait on the Lord for Him to reveal to us the way that He wants us to go.

Sorry there are not very many pictures. We are having difficulty since the cameras have been stolen. Please bare with us. More pictures wil be coming soon. Browse Friskes my photos for Nydia pictures.

In His Hands,

Kim
