We touched down in Nairobi Kenya!

But, Chad’s bag did not arrive. That proved to be a little hurdle in the plans because we were going to head to Uganda immediately after picking up our luggage. It turned out that 15 out of the 24 did not receive their bags. WOW.

The group that was heading to Tanzania (Yellow, Lime, Sisson, Rinn, Lloyd & Anna-Maria) decided to head out on faith and live off the limited supplies that they had. They chose to have their bags forwarded when they arrived in Nairobi to Tanzania.

Well, the blue team decided that the best thing would be to stay in Nairobi with the Brown and Red teams at the AIM base until Chad’s bag came in. Kenya Airways said that it would come in on the 5th.
The AIM base is located right off the edge of a place called Kibera Slum. If you have seen the movie Constant Gardner, this is where the film was produced. Kibera is the home of 1.8 million people of which 60% are HIV positive.

The blue team was blessed to be a part of Kibera for one day at Blue House Church. This church is located in the middle of Kibera and it was filled with Kenyan energy. We loved it and are sad to leave it.
By the grace of God, Chad’s bag arrived on Sunday, praise the Lord. Tickets are completely sold out for Monday’s buses to Uganda so we are most likely heading out tomorrow. We thank the Lord for this short time in Kibera, we will never forget it.
God Bless
