In the evenings we are “helping” in the worship services, they have 2 churches & we are ministering in neighboring churches as well so there is a service almost every night. We have been honored guests in these communities; they had put the word out that we were coming so the churches were full.
The first night Miguel preached & we were amazed at the transformation, we could definitely see the power of God at work, speaking through him even though we couldn’t understand the words. Verbal communication here is hard. We don’t have a translator but Sarah speaks some Spanish & we are communicating volumes nonverbally through our lives as are our hosts. We are learning Spanish & they are learning English. God understands it all & we are one in the Lord.
At the first service many people rededicated their lives to the Lord & six young men went forward to commit to ministry in music. At the end of the services those with needs come forward for prayer & we put our hands on them in prayer. This is where faith really comes in as we can’t communicate with them, we just trust that the Lord knows the need & will reveal it to us if necessary.
We are just vessels the Lord uses, touching people with His love & the power of prayer; we are totally dependant on Him.
