Hello everyone!! The countdown has become a reality and we are about to take a journey that most of us can not even comprehend.

Our time at the Dream Center has been a time of rest, fellowship, prayer and spiritual preparation. We have come together as a team and have focused on what is truly important in each of our lives. Other than God being first and foremost we have tried to see what each person on the team expects, contributes and gives to each other. We are so blessed to have the team that we have because we all know that we are not perfect and long to grow spiritually.
Mexico and Guatemala were the two perfect countries that we could have started at. They gave us a chance to get familiar with ourselves, our team and our lives as missionaries. Our mental state has changed a little because we now have two very big differences in our way. One is the cold weather that Tauna is not at all excited about and the second is that China is closed to the Gospel. This is not a reality to any of us and will be a new experience in each of our faiths. How many times can you actually say that you have seen true persecution for expressing your faith? None of us can.

Imagine this, you believe so passionately like we do in our Father in heaven but your government believes otherwise. If you are caught preaching or spreading the gospel you take the risk of going to jail or being beaten. Being Americans and South Africans we are taken out of that group because if caught we will just be deported, but the people living there might never see freedom again. It truly is a testimony to the power of Christ and really brings the pages of the Bible to life. If you want to learn more about the persecuted church in China, try reading The Heavenly Man by Brother Yun.
We send our love to our family, our supporters and our friends. We are going to try and blog as much as possible and would ask that if you send any of us e-mails that you do not mention names, locations or religious texts. Internet sites are highly monitored by the government and the protection and safety of our contacts is our primary concern.
We invite you to join us on this journey of a lifetime and ask one question of you. What would you do if you lived in a society that heavily persecuted you because of the God you believe in named JESUS CHRIST?
