Since we flew to Los Angeles, we had a three extra free days for rest before attending our debrief meetings. Chad’s dad came to Santa Monica Pier to pick up Chad, Sarah, Tauna, Kimmie and Lloyd to take us to their house in San Diego.
Sarah’s brother and wife also live in San Diego so they was able to come to Chad’s parent’s house where Skeeter (Chad’s mom) prepared a wonderful dinner of steak, garlic mashed potatoes, and broccoli (the food we had requested). We took hot showers, enjoyed a big meal, fellowship with family and friends, and a great night’s sleep. Skeeter and John took us in like their own children and we all felt very much at home and loved.
We are off to Coronado beach tomorrow for worship, surfing and serving and then to Rick Warren’s Saddleback church in the afternoon.

Sunday we start our debrief/training in LA as we prepare to leave for Hong Kong and Tibet.
