Today was the first day of VBS at Tomba De Mora….Because it is a fishing town we decided to use stories that include the sea or fish in hopes that they will relate better.
the plan is Noah – God keeps His promises
Jesus Calms the Sea – God Protects
Jesus Feeds 5000 – God Provides
Salvation – God loves us.
We meet at 4:00 and the children keep coming throughout the hour and half that we are in the plaza square.
the first count we had was 50 but they kept coming. We sang songs in Spanish and in English…Told the Story, divided into 2 groups, 1 for crafts the other for games….ended up together singing and cookies.
Our time here is short….the language barrier is great……My God is Greater still.
I pray, we plant the seeds of the faithful, the loving and righteous. That these children may come to know and believe in their hearts hat God protects them, provides for them, and loves them. They can depend on anything He says or His word says to be true, honest and good.
Lord lead us your sheep.
