The sermon this morning was about “enthusiasm”   Being Palm Sunday it was fitting that the sermon began with the enthusiasm and excitement of the triumphant entry into
Jerusalem
. The Master riding on the colt and the people shouting praises, waving palm branches, and welcoming Him.  Unfortunately, only a few days later those same cheers turned to jeers and cursing, ultimately to His trail and crucifixion.  For those us that know and serve a risen Savior, we know the real cheers and excitement came on Sunday, when He defeated death and His Father, our heavenly Father called Him home.  Now that’s something to be excited about!

That’s the excitement and enthusiasm, I want to bring with me to the “World Race” the enthusiasm that begins inward and grows to the point of outward singing and jubilation, a smile that doesn’t just show on my face but in my daily spirit, the enthusiasm of a servant heart; the joy of doing for others in the name of the risen Savior, Jesus Christ.

When I look at my life and what He has done for me, how can I NOT, serve with joy and enthusiasm?
