India was a country full of culture, curry, and hundreds of smiling faces. It was one of the most challenging yet incredible places I have ever been too. During our month a preached more that I ever have in my entire life, I prayed for more people than I thought possible, and I ate more rice than I thought humanly possible. But as hard as it was to live there it was even harder to leave. India will forever have my heart. Here are 11 reasons why.
The Children of India could steal your heart with one glance. This little boy was no exception.
We played games, watched shark week, and they laughed as they watched me try to eat with my hands.
Our Contact gave our whole team traditional henna, while the stain faded the memories and love in my heart never will.
These boys stole my heart like no other. We had the chance to see them twice and I will never ever forget the love they showed me.
Just driving around the town there was so much beauty to see. The culture was amazing.
Here is our team with our amazing family. Leaving them was the hardest thing I have done to date on the race.
This ferry was the reason our contact drove 3 hours on our off day. “a day at the river” consisted of a 10 minute ferry ride, will never forget that day.
The TATA, our means of transportation the whole month. So many night of carsickness, long talks, and singing Disney songs at the top of our lungs.
This is Mosha, the boy that wrecked me in the best way possible. His smile and joy were contagious.
I have no words, just pure innocent beauty.
India, I will see you again some day.
Financial update: currently I have one month to raise $3500 to be fully funded. If I do not raise this I face the possibility of going home. Please consider partnering with me and helping me stay on the field.
