This is the story about a new pair of white sneakers that
were chosen to travel the world. On January 3rd they were put onto
the feet of a disciple of Jesus Christ and boarded a plane for Miami. These
shoes had no idea what a journey they were in for. Below is a picture taken
upon arriving to San Juan, Dominican Republic.
As you can see, they are shiny
and white. Over the next 11 months, these shoes will touch down in many
different countries, cities, villages, slums, etc and will no doubt step in
many different substances over the year. The plan is to update you each month
with a new picture, places walked on and the newest
color of the white shoes. Until then, watch your step!
So this month the shoes have touched down in:
Miami, Santo Domingo, San Juan, Arroyo Cano, Monticito, Los Frios, and Bohechio. I have no idea how many miles they have gone but its been a lot! I dont have a picture of them right now but will post one soon. They are white because I had to wash them but they were a wonderful shade of red because of the dirt in the mountains!
