We are in Africa!!! After a flight from Bangkok to Nairobi
then to Joburg South Africa we arrived mid afternoon to a rush of cold air. That’s
right, it’s cold. We stayed in a hostel for a few days, bought some warm
clothes and then were off on an overnight bus to Nelspruit. We are currently at
an amazing missionary care house and will be heading to Maputo in the next day
or so.
Since my
last communication we have changed our ministry for Mozambique. We will be
working with a guy named Jaco and his wife showing the Jesus film, evangelizing
and working with orphans.
I am
already in love with this continent. My teammates dislike me because I am so
giddy to be here. Last night we were in line to get food and there was a little
girl peeking around her mothers’ skirt. I started playing hide and seek with
her and she had the biggest smile on her face. It was that moment that I knew
my heart was going to be broken over and over for the next 3 months. But I am
fine with that because I want to show the love of Christ to these people and
the best way to do that is to have my heartbreak for them the way Christ’s
heart breaks for them.
We
will be leaving here soon and do not know when the Internet will be available again
