Guatemala Bound!

One week from tomorrow I leave for Guatemala for 10 days! Kinda bummed, I’ll miss the July team at the Miami Airport by 1 day 🙁

But I am WAY excited about serving in Guatemala. This will be my first international trip of any kind so Im a bit nervous about that but I am excited to get a brief glimpse of what the World Race will be like. As of right now we will be finishing the building of a new church in Pabeya. I think we will be putting the floor in and finishing up the electrical outlets and such. We have also planned a trip to go see the ancient ruins of Tikal on the return trip. That should be awesome!
All in all I am very excited about this trip. I wish I was leaving tomorrow actually. I think this will be a great preview of the year to come and hopefully I will get some ideas on packing and what to bring and not to bring! But mostly I am looking forward to meeting the people of Guatemala and being among them and sharing Christ’s Love. Im quite sure that I will not want to leave on July 7.

Its going to be a busy summer with this trip to Guatemala, a youth mission trip to Steubenville OH and Vacation Bible School between now and the end of July. The summer is going to fly by. Before I know it I will be heading to training camp in October and then leaving for the World Race in January.  I dont like how time flys when you get older. I wish it would stay like it was when I was a kid. But alas, I guess the passing of each day just gets us closer to the return of the Kingdom of God!

Grace and Peace to you all. Have a wonderful summer!
