AFRICA here I come!!! That’s right, at 12:55 am on June 1 I
will get on a plane headed for Jo-berg South Africa!!! To say I am a little
excited is an understatement. I am extremely ready for a change in culture and
weather. (It is Africa’s winter right now! And yes it will be much cooler than
Asia!)

We will be headed to Mozambique first and will be going to
IRIS ministries in the capital city.
IRIS is a ministry founded by Rolland and Heidi Baker. About the only
thing I know is that they have houses for orphans.  When I get more details I will pass them along. We will be
working alongside the Gentle Warriors, Luminous and Tikvah.

 Prayer requests:

  1. Safe
    travel
  2. Leader
    changes

The original 2 squad leaders (who
have done the race before) are both gone now and 3 other leaders have been
moved into the squad leader role.

Also, most of the teams have
changed leadership to allow others to grow in the leadership role. Team Manna
changed this month from me to Tim. I am excited to get to be a racer now and am
excited to see what God will do in Tim’s life and how the team will change
because of this change.

  1. Strength.
We are starting month 6 and it is getting more trying moving month after
month. Our bodies are tired and mentally it is hard to give every little
bit of us knowing that we will be leaving.
  2. Pray
that we would seek God for our strength and that we would give ourselves
100% to the rest of this year and not check out.
  3. My back is still giving me problems. A little worried how it will do if we end up in our tents for Africa.

So for now, God Bless you from Asia and the northern
hemisphere. Catch ya on the flip side J. Hehe, literally, get
it the southern hemisphere!
