September is going to be a HUGE month. Our entire squad of
52 is in ONE village in Romania. We
are also with 1 team from the J Squad and 2 teams from the K Squad (both
launched the beginning of August). All
11 teams are in Villa Tecci Romania. A Gypsy village between Brasov and
Bistrita.
John Fracker is a southern man who followed God’s call here
in 2001. He has been ministering to the people in surrounding villages since
then and has married a Gypsy woman. The church here in Villa Tecci has been
declining so God decided to bring a few American missionaries in to revive the
town. By a few I mean more than 70!
Teams are living with a Christian family in town and
ministering to them while also doing home visits to others in the community.
Our first Sunday here we all went to the same church and were the only ones
there. John felt like the Holy Spirit was telling him that we needed to worship
while walking the length of the town. We invited families to worship that night
at 6 pm.
When it was time for church to start it was heart warming to
see people from the village sitting in the pews. Four people gave short
messages on God’s love and salvation. One man openly prayed a prayer of
salvation! Then we prayed for others in the church that came forward for
prayer. It was a beautiful night filled with the Holy Spirit.
God has so much planned for this little village. He wants to
set them FREE from the bondage of sin, anger, oppression, hurt and fear. God
would not have brought over 70 world racers here if He did not have big plans
for them and for us. This is going to be an amazing month filled with the
beauty of God and His love for the people here!
Oh yea, it does not hurt that it is AMAZINGLY beautiful
here!
