One thing I really admire about this culture is their reverence. Most of the time it is their reverence to the gods they worship, and even that I can learn from. Their respect, adoration, and devotion are incredible.

I want to learn more about revering my God, and God is using the Indians to help! It is easier for me to see God as my friend and father…which is good, but also it is important for me to remember that He is the almighty, powerful, everlasting God of the universe!

At church all the women cover their heads. When they are praying, they fall on their knees. Yes, some of it is out of tradition, but honestly most of it is because they really understand the power and the glory of the one and only God they worship. You can tell by their hearts and true desire to respect God that it is not out of legalism.

I think it all goes back to a desire to fear God.

“Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us be thankful, and so worship God acceptably with reverence and awe, for our ‘God is a consuming fire.’
