Yesterday, we got the news we've all been waiting for…LAUNCH details!
So, on September 6 I head back to ATL and will spend a couple days in training before taking off for China on September 10th! So exciting!! Praise God I'm so grateful for the process & journey this has already been & look forward to so much more!
So exactly 40 days from today I will be boarding a plane for a missionary journey that has no choice but to change me, and will prayerfully use me in ways I've never experienced before for the glory of God's kingdom!
In preparation for this next season of my life, I am beginning a 40 day "dominion" fast today. Fasting makes you tough in the spirit. Fasting makes the inner man rise up and say, "Enemy who do you think you are to mess with me, or put fear in my mind, or inflict pain in my body. Greater is He that is in me! Flesh, you don't control me…I'm beating you back so that my spirit can reign!"
By fasting forty days and nights, Jesus got back dominion that was lost with Adam. He returned in the power of the Spirit after He fasted. And that is how I intend to go out into the nations, filled in the power of the Spirit ready to go and do whatever the Father ask of me.
I decided to snag a fasting idea from a World Race alumni and declare the next 40 days a time to seek intimacy through worship in fresh ways everyday. Below is what I'm going to practice over the next 40 days and I hope you'll join me!

I want to invite you into something.
Tomorrow I am beginning a 40 day journey of wonder.
These next 40 days will be set apart, as days for WORSHIP! Every day, I am going to pray about how I should worship God the following day. For example, since I am starting tomorrow, today I will pray about how I should intentionally worship God tomorrow.
I could fast from food all day tomorrow, as an act of worship to God. Or I could spend time singing worship for 10 minutes at the beginning of every hour. Or I could set apart time to paint, or dance, and do jumping jacks! It could be anything! I could set apart the evening for prayer, or wake up extra early and worship the day in. I'm just going to think up ways each day, of how I can increase the amount of intentional worship time I spend throughout these next days.
The vision is to create a greater depth of intimacy in relationship with God. I hope to get completely lost in the heart of the Father! I hope to more fully understand Christ's sacrifice and resurrection. I hope to greatly realize the depths of the wells and wells of living water the Holy Spirit has for me.
I believe these next 40 days are going to completely transform the way I walk with God, and I want you to have this experience also!
If you'd like to also set apart these next 40 days for worship, I highly encourage you to do so! The commitment is whatever you make it! It's flexible, and will work with your schedule since YOU are designing it. Everyday you get to be creative and craft what the following day of worship with the Lord will look like. Pretty much it's awesome and DO IT! Abba, Jesus and Holy Spirit want to baptize you in their presence, so catch the trade winds! |
