We spent the beginning of our month in Manila contacting and visiting different ministries. The beginning of this video is mostly from our time at Smokey Mountain. The second part of the video is from the relief work we did in Tacloban. We fed the locals lugau, listened, talked, and prayed for them. I also found as many opportunities to play basketball with them as I could. I think I spread more joy by doing that then anything else I did during the month. I never knew this before my time there, but people in the Philippines are obsessed with basketball! There is a hoop on every corner and people are hooping all the time. They wear around jerseys and basketball shorts as a part of their everyday style. I really felt at home there and hope to go back sometime in the near future. I feel like I left a part of my heart there.
