Some of you are being asked where you are going this year, and you’re still not totally sure. That can be frustrating. What’s worse is that there’s a chance the route will change once you start the Race. All of this can reflect poorly on AIM and what you’re doing, but as I’m sure you’ve already heard, the 3rd world doesn’t work according to our expectations. It’s a great lesson in cultural sensitivity and flexibility. Nonetheless, it’s good to be able to give your supporters, friends, and family an idea of what your experience will look like.

So, we put together a list of countries WR has visited over the past two years, accompanied with some compelling pictures and stories to illustrate the experience. Although it’s not your itinerary, your route could look something like it. Some of you have seen this on the WR homepage, and some may have missed it entirely. I just blogged it today and wanted to share the link with you. Feel free to blog this, email it to supporters, post on myspace. The intent is to help you get excited (if you need any help) and to especially get others excited and rallied around what you’re doing (might want to show something like this or a map of the Jan07 route to potential supporters if you’re still raising funds.)

Here’s the link to the WR sample itinerary: http://jeffgoins.myadventures.org/index.asp?filename=world-race-sample-itinerary (no need to cite me or anything; I didn’t write it. AIM did.)

Here’s the sample route and map:
