hey guys…

I need to share a suggestion with you all.

If you are lacking in the “food” area… meaning you are craving more peanut butter, or trail mix, or something… the best plan is NOT for your family to mail it here and us to bring it to you. The best plan is for your family to add extra money to your personal account and for you to go buy it at the next big american grocery store you find in the next big city you visit. it will be overpriced, but still cheaper than the shipping costs for mailing and bringing it to you. Remember that every item we bring to you on the field has to be mailed twice. In addition, we are only bringing 25 lbs and the first thing to be taken out of packages is food. We won’t spend the money to mail it back either… we will instead donate it to a local charity.

Same thing with clothing… in many countries you can buy gym shorts and t-shirts. You don’t need those things brought to you.

Please talk with your parents or anyone mailing things to you… only have them send items that you are 100% unable to purchase anywhere along the route. These would be things like medicines, vitamins, electronics, gear, and personal notes. It is much more cost effective to buy something – even if it’s overpriced for that country – than to bring it to you.

Here’s an example of what did not make it to you on the field…
