Hey guys…
Working at a middle school can be fun and can be trying at times…one of the things that is a real highlight is the awesome friends that you make, not only at the school you teach at but teachers at other schools too. I have two real close friends that teach at a school about 15 miles from my school, Christin and Melissa. Over the past year or two we’ve become great friends, and their school was rocked this morning with news of one of their students commiting suicide. Melissa had the student last year, and the student was in Christin’s class this year. I just heard of the situation, and knowing how close these two get to their students, I know that it will be a rough few days for them. I’ve been at a school 4 1/2 years, and haven’t had to deal with the loss of any of my students, but can only imagine what the whole school is going through, grieving with the family, teachers, other students, and friends. Please keep them all in your prayers!
