I am so excited, I just learned that Mikel Kersey, who is also scheduled for the Jan 2008 World Race team only lives a few hours from me.
We are hoping to arrange a meeting and spend time together and possibly do a joint fundraiser.
She and I, like the idea of selling wrist bands; similar to the “live strong” Lance Armstrong version, and we were wondering if anyone else from team G would like to join us.
I found a supplier that will produce our design and color choice for $.59 each if we order at least 500…….wouldn’t it be cool if we had people all over the country wearing “world race” wrist bands?
The idea would be to attach a card (business card size) with the AIM, world race and your personal web information, on one side and a scripture or short devotional on the flip side.
Not only could we raise money but awareness too……who knows maybe more people would join in and actually take the trip with us. Certainly people would be reminded to pray for us.
