Hello! I have some fabulous news… I hope. I think I found a job yesterday, the manager is just checking my references. Please pray that it will all work out, but it is really cool. To start with, I am NOT a fan of job hunting, as as I was driving into town yesterday I just asked God to direct me where to go and hand out resumes (I had looked at some job postings, but you know). I was in the mall, going to the places that had help wanted signs up and then I was walking past Suzy Shier, one of my favourite stores (a clothing store), and it did not have a sign up but I thought what the heck, I will apply anyway. It turns out that the manager was really desparate to hire someone, she wants someone who is a bit older (not 16) and has previous employment experience and doesn’t have school to work around. She practically hired me on the spot. She just needs to check references and I will start next week. As well, she knows I am leaving in January for the World Race and thats good because she wants someone for the Christmas season. To top it off after I mentioned the missions trip she asked if I knew one of the other girls who works there (I didn’t) because she is going on a missions trip in December, and when she asked if I had another reference she mentioned maybe my pastor and I said well my dad is the pastor and she said oh my dad is a pastor too! How cool is that! Please pray that it will all work out and that I can start soon.
