For the next four weeks you are enrolled in Blog Training. Jeff Goins and I will be giving you weekly assignments to help you understand the ministry of your blog and how to use it well. Jeff will also be available via comments here and emails to jeff.goins(at)gmail.com. He is more than glad to help out with this process so feel free to use him as a resource.
Here is this week’s assignment:
- Read Blogging Lesson One on this discussion site.
- Go through the Quickstart guide on your blog. Do this by logging into your blog and clicking on Blog Tutorials. Read through and make sure you understand how to use the different tools.
- Post a new blog on your site. I encourage you to begin practicing now how to be vulnerable and honest in your blogs in order to reach out to those who will read it. Remember, your audience goes far beyond your family and friends!
- Read through our e-zine at http://www.wreckedfortheordinary.com/. Note the different ways to be creative with your blog and how your blog might contribute as an article for Wrecked.
- Place a link to another website in your blog. You may link to Wrecked or AIM blogs or any other website you wish.
- Read through some new Jan 07 blogs and use the Raise This Up tool to vote for your favorite blog.

As this is your ministry focus, you also have the assignment to help your teammates learn to use their blogs. If they have questions, you will be the “answerers.” Also, if there are any exceptional blogs written, send them to Jeff at jeff.goins(at)gmail.com.
