As you are preparing right now, we are going to send you plenty of material to read and discuss. Already you are going through Listening Prayer together and reading the required books. The additional material we send would be good for your team conference calls. Here is the first installment to go through together:
1) Bible Study on community – have everyone do their own personal study and then discuss what you learned during the conference call.
2) Bible Study on unity – same format.
3) How to Resolve Conflict by Ken Sande. This is available on the documents website. Everyone should read through it before the call. Then prepare stories of how this has worked or has been necessary in your personal life. Also ask each other questions you had from the reading.
We will not be regulating any of this (no deadlines to do it or staff listening in), but will leave it up to you guys to work out together. Remember to all use your gifts in unity together to build each other up!
Also, you will receive more material than you probably feel you can adequately cover during the preparation process. Don’t feel overwhelmed by having to do it all right now, but set a good pace to get through everything you can. Anything you don’t get to before September, plan to bring with you and do in Bible Studies together on the field.
