You know when you are doing something great for the Lord you are to be aware and on prayerful guard cuz the enemy is close behind. I have a great silver VW beetle(diesal) that has been my baby for 7 yrs. Paid for over 2yrs . Still running well-no major concerns.(some things are falling apart :))I have felt attacked in this area of my car for the past several weeks-like worrying and praying extra protection that it will last until Sept. And I am not the worrying type.So I was guarding it in prayer. This morning on the way to work-it was snowing but not too bad in Michigan-my car is great in snow and I am a good driver in it. It hit a slippery patch that vered me and I ran head on and over a medium. The car is usually very good in stopping in the snow but it just kept moving. I felt like Dukes of Hazzard-except mine didn’t fly that high and their car never seemed to get damaged. 🙂 Anyway the wheel was hanging off and still attached to the axel, my front wrecked, and since the beetle is so low there is underneath damage- transmission and others. So..sorry for the story… My car could possibly be totalled. Unexpected deductable expenses and lack of transportation. :0 I sat there and thanked God for savings and insurance and that I didn’t get hurt. I am also reading Heavenly Man and in comparison to his persecution and sufferings for Jesus mine seemed nothing in camparison..So that helped with my perspective and how I praised him.
Could you be praying for whatever is God’s will for the future of my car. Being declared total seems like a good option and I can get the bluebook price for it- and get a used car. No future repairs or expenses. Everything is for His glory so that is what I ultimatly want.
Also- for speediness or for God to supply a car. I was going to drive my car to training. That is a few weeks away and with VW, repairs can take a while and I don’t get rental coverage.
Thanks you all! I loved knowing that I could lift this up to the TEAM! It brought a lot of reasurance to me. I will be covering all of us more diligently with prayer for protection over our belongings, family, health , etc. We are doing a mighty thing and the enemy is not happy. Have a blessed Tuesday.
