After spending a month in Ireland, I am excited to be home in preparing for the World Race with all of YOU!!  The month was a wonderful month!!  I led eleven girls, along with my co-leader Michelle Varonne.  We had an amazing time pressing into the Lord.  Every single girl on the trip grew spiritually, and I have complete faith that every girl will let this continue on in their lives at home.  It is one thing to pray prayers, but a complete blessing when God shows you fruit from your prayers – completely humbling.  God is working in so many ways…

We were in a village near Kilkenny putting on a children’s program when one girl asked us, “Why do you talk to God?  My friend says He is dead.”  What an opportunity God placed in front of us to minister and talk about prayer!!!

We worked with teens of Kilkenny as well.  At the beginning of the week, the teens were tearing down posters, cutting couches, destroying the premises.  By the end of the week, the teens grew to respect us and the reason we were there – to simply love on them and let them know the only reason we are here is because Jesus loved them first.  A concept we at times take for granted, yet children around the world have never heard.

As I was reading conference call notes, I saw a note that some of you were wondering what you were doing when you come back after the year.  I want to encourage you in Matthew 6:34, “Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself.  Each day has enough trouble of its own.”

With saying this, we were asked to fast one thing while we were out on the field.  I felt God asking me to give up calendars.  I am a person who loves to make lists and plan out the next months, years, decades, etc.  However, I knew if I was making a list of what to do when I came back for the month, especially in preparing for the World Race, I would not be able to be “in the moment.”  I would be worried about the list and how I was to accomplish it.  Every morning, I came to God asking God what He wanted of me and how He wanted me to challenge the girls to seek Him more and let me see the team through His eyes.  I could not do this if I was focused on what lies ahead.

God has called each one of you to a year of service…being His hands and feet to the unlovable, the untouchable, His children!!!  If we as a team are planning our year after we return, then how can He trust us to be in the moment and accomplishing what He desires of us day to day.  God will call us to do all sorts of things, if we have planned this year and years to come on our own, then are we living as empty vessels ready to let God use us and call us ANYWHERE???  Or are we living with our own desires?

This blog is just as much for you as it is for me.  I want to encourage you in everyway to not plan ahead, but instead let God take complete control in all you do.  Your lives and outlook on life will change this upcoming year, so lets focus on what God wants to do and teach us, rather than planning our future.

How can we live for the future and be alive in the moment?  We must trust God in all and in HIS TIMING!!!   So lets, as a team,
LIVE FOR TODAY AND PRAY FOR TOMORROW!!!
