Hey everybody, I’m sorry that I haven’t been able to attend the last couple of conference calls but I have enjoyed reading the notes and I look forward to being there next Tuesday!
With that being said, I have a few exciting things to tell you about…
Next Wednesday morning, June 13th, I will be departing for Barbados to lead a team through another missions organization. I will be gone until June 22nd and I need some serious prayer! I am basically the Caribbean Lifetime Missions staff representative to a team from Wildwood Church from Illinois. I will be going to every place before the team arrives to coordinate their itineraries, along with purchasing the food, and organizing the construction projects. Basically, I’m doing a lot of logistical stuff which is not my strongest suit. Then, I have to be the man with the answers when the team arrives. All in all, A LOT of RESPONSIBILITY. I’m really excited about the opportunity to lead in this way, but nervous all at the same time. So please, be praying for the team and for my ability to lead this team. I’ve been preparing for some time now to be ready, hence me being stressed out and choosing not to be at the conference calls and choosing to rest instead. Ok, thats one thing….
The other…my sister is getting married!!! Yes! The date is set for Sept 8th, during the launch training, so Laura, I need to talk to you about what I need to be doing to prepare for missing some of those important days! The wedding is in Virginia, so I am going to fly there and back a day before and a day after the wedding. At least its happening before instead of during The World Race right? Ok, anyway, thats my news and what I’ve been up to, maybe I can tell you guys more on the conference call next week the night before I leave for Barbados. Thanks for your prayers guys, and sorry for my absence!
