Expectations/desires for debriefing in small and big groups:
- Seth Jr—lots of down-time (Traci and Amy agree)
- Sarah Burrows—group activities
- Jackie—quiet excursion (group or self)
- Amy—about an hour to self every day
- Jackie—morning quiet time works
- Mary Beth—we will need time
every day with the Lord to
be in Christ; we need to be able to relate to Christ; do not feel guilty about taking that time; we need to debrief as a group every week; critical incident debrief (b/t 48-72 hours after major incident), when they happen, they need to be talked out; it’s scientific, medical, spiritual; saliva and tears can have a different chemical composition based on what you are encountering in your spirit - Colleen—gets sores in her mouth when filled with anxiety; when she is in prayer, or at peace with the Lord, they don’t hurt
- Mark prayed for Colleen
- Mary Beth—we need to continue to pray for each other throughout the trip, but we need to ask the Lord to lead debriefs as well; Thematic symptoms; stress
can damage the brain *her cell phone—(706) 968-1646
