I don’t know if any of you have heard of this “movement” but since I work in a PT Clinic and have unlimited access to People Magazine and The Today Show, I can tell you a little about it.

Basically a Pastor in Kansas challenged his congregation to give up complaining to stop complaining for 21 days to form a new habit and live a more holy life.  They each recieved a purple bracelet like a liveSTRONG bracelet (which I still wear btw, along with my old school WWJD bracelet).   Anyway, the guidelines are easy enough:

1. Begin to wear the bracelet, on either wrist

2. When you catch yourself
complaining, gossiping or criticizing (it’s ok, everyone does) move the bracelet to the other arm and begin again.

So you keep starting over until you succeed for 21 days…

Anyway, while there isn’t a “though shalt not complain” commandment, there sure is a lot of scriptural stuff this habit fulfills… Find joy in all things, Fruits of the Spirit, etc…

I have been feeling really called to try to accomplish this and I wanted to invite you all to join me!   I just think it would an amazing blessing if our whole team is able to form this habit before we head off for a year!

I’m working on ordering “the” bracelets but I am sure they are super backordered.   So i’m just gonna start with a bracelet I already own, it can be any visual reminder if you think about it.

Sorry this was long, I don’t know if I explained it well, so here’s the link to the church:
