At training camp we discussed each of you have an accountability partner outside of World Race and a group of prayer partners (at least 15) to support you on the trip.
Your accountability partner is someone who commits to keep in touch with you via email and phone (Skype). You are committing to them to be completely honest. This person should understand that sometimes the Race will be really hard and you will need to be honest about some difficult things. In response this person agrees to encourage and support you, helping you complete the call God has on your life.
You prayer partners are pretty self explanatory. These are people who commit to really covering you and your team in prayer. Some Racers in the past have put together a prayer schedule where they have two people specifically covering that day of the week all year. Others have just accepted a commitment from their supporters to pray regularly. Either way, be sure these people are committed and understand the value of prayer in this Race.
