I think I’ve solved the PDA dilemma. If those of you who are more techie than me see something wrong with this idea, please let me know because it’s what I’m planning on doing.
We talked at training camp that a PDA was useless without a laptop because you need the PDA software on the desktop to sync the two. However, I found this device which has a USB plug on one end on the other end you can plug in an SD card. Tungsten TravelLite SD/MMC Reader (there are many more brands- just type “SD and USB card” into Amazon search)
Assuming your PDA has an SD slot, you can save pictures, music, or any regular Word, PP or Excel files onto the SD card. Then just remove the SD card, plug it into this device, and plug the USB end into any computer. That way, you don’t have to sync the two.
There are also cards that are SD on one side and USB on the other (instead of plugging the SD card into the device, it actually is an SD card). SD card & USB Flash Drive Combo But with the other device you could just use standard SD cards (eg: one that’s already in your digital camera).
I hope that all made sense. And please give me your opinion on whether or not this will work. Thanks!
Hope everyone’s preparation is going well. I’m praying for you all. God Bless!
