Note that you have a long layover in London
and a different airport to get to. There are trains between the two airports and into the city. You are free to do sightseeing in London with your team if you like; sightseeing costs are at your own expense. Reasonable meal costs may be covered by your team budget.
At the airport, we’ll have a check-in for last minute details including paperwork, a brief leader meeting, team photos and time for prayer. Lunch is on your own, but team money or airline food will cover dinner. We do have some items which we need transported to Africa and will ask those who have a little space in their luggage to carry something [either for your team or for January racers or for staff]. If no one has extra space, we’ll ask someone to check an extra bag.
If you are running late, please call us. If you are running really late, don’t try to meet us in the atrium – you should check in for your flight by 5:00 p.m. at the latest. If your arriving flight gets delayed, let us know so that we can be in touch with the travel agent and/or airline.
If you are driving, try to be at the airport by 1:00 p.m. at the latest.
