Only a few more days until you leave!!  I’m sure many of you are scrambling around to finish the details of packing and saying goodbye to family and friends.  Know that you are in my prayers as you do so.

I know, for a lot of people, a big question now is: WHAT IF I DON’T HAVE ALL MY MONEY??

Here’s the deal…  You
MUST HAVE AT LEAST $6,500 in cash in your AIM account in order to go.  If you are less than that number, you must hand me a check for the difference at the airport on Tuesday.  If you do not have $6,500, we will NOT give you your ticket to Swaziland.

Some people may not have $6,500 and still get to go, but those people have been working closely with me over the last few months and have made very specific arrangements.  Unless you’re one of those people, the $6,500 rule sticks and is unbendable.

As a HUGE PRAISE, it appears at this time that no one will have to stay home for lack of money!!!  (This is assuming that people who have said they can pay their balances do in fact pay them by Tuesday.)  Praise the Lord for His provision!!  We’re excited that everyone is going to get out there and start the race!

Now, for the more technical side of things…  WHAT IF YOU DON’T HAVE ALL $13,000 TURNED IN AND/OR YOU DON’T KNOW WHERE IT’S COMING FROM??

Everyone who does not have 100% in cash at AIM on Tuesday morning will have to sign a “Go On Faith Commitment” form at the airport before we hand you your ticket.  For those who are close to 100% or who have a lot of pledges, this form is a little more of a formality than a leap of faith.  For those who have no idea where the rest is coming from, this form is a big “walk on water” kind of step.  Please know that we are behind you as you take this step, and we are excited to see the Lord work in and through you!

What the commitment form says is that you understand that you need to raise $13,000 but that you only have $____ at AIM and $____ in pledges.  You are being allowed to go to the field; however, you understand that AIM has the right to send you home if your support runs out before the race ends.  AIM will warn you when all but $2,000 of your money has been spent, and AIM will send you home (with the timing at their discretion) when all but $1,500 of your money has been spent.

If you have any questions about this arrangement, please give me a call over the next few days.  I do have 6 Real Life teams coming in tomorrow for training camp so the best way to reach me is on my cell phone, NOT at the office or by email.  My cell number is 770-375-1683.

If I don’t here from you between now and then, I look forward to seeing you at the airport on Tuesday!!
