Today is one of those days where you feel like your heart may just explode because God is so good! I have two BIG announcements that I am eager to share with you all!
First one! Tonight is the night I am getting baptized! I am so excited for this, and can’t wait to publicly proclaim my love for Christ and desire to follow Him wherever He may call me.
Second one! I have been ACCEPTED onto World Race!!
When deciding what I was going to do after graduation I had a couple choices…get a job in the social work profession, go to graduate school, or take a huge leap of faith. After a lot of prayer and the nudge of wanderlust in my heart I knew it was time to jump. To step out of my comfort zone and pursue Christ intimately, while boldly serving Him around the world.
This August I will be leaving for an 11 month long mission trip, of a lifetime. To head around the world with a team of people to share the beautiful Gospel that has changed my life for the better, with whomever God places in my path. I will be adventuring to 11 different countries (1 month in each), routes are subject to change, but currently mine consists of:

Burkina Faso
India
Nepal
Cambodia
Thailand
El Salvador
Honduras
Guatemala
Belize
This incredible opportunity God has laid before me stills feels surreal! I feel humbled, blessed, and grateful to get to share the love of Christ that I have experienced with many! I am excited to see what God holds in store for me with this upcoming adventure! This blog is where I will share my journey before and while I’m on the World Race. It is also where those whom feel called can help me support raise the funds of my trip (letters going out in January with more details of this). I am so excited that I get to share this experience with all of you.
Some extra details about the trip are that I will be living out of a backpack for a year (insert monkey covering eyes emoji here)! I get to spend my year with 7-10 people, whom I am sure will become my second family, all serving together to further God’s Kingdom. I will get to meet and build relationships with incredible individuals across the world. If you saw the packing list you’d probably laugh, knowing this is me who will be going. I know I will be changed and that my heart will grow immensely for the people of this world and our Heavenly Father. This is going to be a leap of faith unlike any I have ever taken and I can’t wait!
