A seed was plant, and my roots began to grow. The dirt wiggled around, as I was water. Through the heat and scorching sun I did not die off. With time and compassionate care I was offered opportunities to blossom in the spring of life. My eyes hadn’t fully developed to see the beauty Jesus saw in me, but He continued to water. And water He did. I soaked in His grace, I surrendered in His presence as He washed me clean, I rested in His comfort, and I dreamt in His glory.
My heart aches for those less fortunate, and it goes back to times of my now seeing development. I wrote words that are being brought to life with more extraordinary color that I could ever imagine. Our Fathers glory is alive in this writing, but I didn’t realize how much glory my dreams will actually bring to God… That is until recently. As I was lying in bed and my mind began to wonder to poems I had wrote years ago. I am now relating my writing from 6 years ago to scriptures in The Bible.
James 1:27 – Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.

Heart roaring in the sound of deprivation. In most cases it’s wants not needs. We don’t realize what lies before us. Blind to the good in life, but take notice to all the bad. When really it’s the bad that is here today and gone tomorrow. When there are others trying to find happiness, and not dwelling in the dark hole they can’t escape. The hole being of many different possibilities: diseased, homeless, starvation, etc. We take for granted every day that we wake. We have clothes to cover our bodies and shoes to soldier our feet, we have food to nourish our health, and water to keep us from dehydration. Although, one thing can go wrong in our day and make us feel as if everything around us is crumbling down. One thing… Someone’s rude comment, the clothes not flattering your figure, car ran out of gas, a headache, and many more that every person complains about throughout life. What about the baby born with a disease, and fighting for every breath of air. Or the elderly lady that fell and doesn’t have the strength to bring herself back to her feet. Or the children that parents abandoned them, and they have to fend for themselves and their siblings. But, here we are upset that our boyfriend/girl friend broke up with us. Or we didn’t eat what was set before us because we don’t like the taste of it. Or we take all of our frustrations out on someone else, because it makes us feel better. We can’t let the little things go so that we can enjoy and be appreciative of all that makes our lives better than the person who had no say in what their life had in store. It’s something we don’t notice on a regular basis. You never knew what you had till you don’t have it anymore. If we would just pause a second and think about all of this maybe our day wouldn’t seem so bad. Maybe we would be grateful for what we do have. Maybe we would be more optimistic even considering the little negatives that happen throughout the day. I wish people could look at life this way, and care more about those less fortunate. It runs through my mind every day, sometimes even right when I wake up. It makes me try to be a better person, and help people in need.
God brings greatness to life! He takes our burdens and replaces them with love, strength, and comfort.
Psalm 68:19 – Praise be to the Lord, to God our Savior, who daily bears our burdens. John 9:25 – I was blind by now I see! Romans 12:13 – Share with the Lord’s people who are in need. Practice hospitality. Matthew 6:25 – Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear.
I’m not saying I do not struggle with some of these things, but I have realized the power of turning to God. I have seen how my life has unfolded and God’s beauty was in the midst of struggles. The dips and turns in my life were created with His utmost precise sculpting. As this blog will be carried on throughout God’s nations to His beautiful people know God writes from the beginning to the end.
Isaiah 55:5 – Surely you will summon nations you know not, and nations you do not know will come running to you, because of the Lord your God, the Holy One of Israel, for he has endowed you with splendor.
Dear Heavenly Father I am thankful for your calling. I knew nothing of this would come my way, and you have blessed me immensely with your plans. Lord, I pray for a heart of a wonderful servant. That as I am here in the United States and as I go into these countries I will see only with eyes that will bring you glory, that I will love with more than I even know I have in me, that I will plant seeds along the borders and within the lands… Lord that your name with be exalted among these nations, and your fruit will overcome the darkness of this world. Thank you for everything seen and unseen, for I know it is of your goodness. Father I am no longer going to try to be a better person, but I will be a better child of God! In Jesus name I pray! Amen!
Here’s to one more scripture, because it has spoke so eloquently strong to me. Thanks to my mentors in helping me prepare emotional, physically, and spiritually for this adventure.
Isaiah 55:8-11 – “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the Lord. “As heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts. As the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return to it without watering the earth and making it bud and flourish, so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater, so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it…
