Today I was give the opportunity to be baptized in the Jordan River. Honestly, there is no way possible to tell of this experience and express just how much significance was held in the moments.

I was baptized when I was young. I wasn’t aware of what it symbolized or how serious it was. I have been feeling led to re-dedicate my life to Jesus. There have been times that I could have done this, but again I listened to my Father and waited. His gift to be baptized in the Jordan where He, John the Baptist, and where many others took part in this spiritual event.

Mark 1:5 – And so John the Baptist appeared in the wilderness, preaching a baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of sins. The whole Judean countryside and all the people of Jerusalem went out with him. Confessing their sins, they were baptized by him in the Jordan River.

Gods grace flooded my heart and washed me new. The sky was covered in blankets of grey clouds, the water was breath taking literally. I was fully submerged to the death of all my sins. As I rose to take my first breath as reborn….a breath I will never forget. God breathed new breath of life into my being.

(You give life, You are love, You bring light to the darkness…it’s Your breath in our lungs so we pour out our praise to You only- Great Are You Lord by All Sons & Daughters)

While others were being baptized there were groups of other people from around the world singing praise to our Lord in english and other languages. As the bus wheels began to roll away from The Jordan the sky opened up and His light shined through the clouds. Wait I’m not done yet. A few minutes into our drive God painted a double rainbow across the sky. Enough words about rainbows are written in scripture after God wiped the entire earth of life with exception of Noah, his family, and the creatures protected on the Ark made of cypress wood.

Genius 9:13 – I have set my rainbow in the clouds, and it will be the sign of the covenant between me and the earth.

Heavenly Father,
Thank you from the depths of my soul for the many blessings you have given to me. I thank you for my brothers and sisters in Christ who have vowed their lives to You. Lord, that your Word is the only true and living word. You are alive in us like the flowing water. How beautiful our Father!!! Our words can not explain your glorious beautiful ways Lord. Thank You Thank You!! My heart is Yours. In Jesus name I pray. Amen

Mark 1:9 – At that time Jesus came from Nazareth in Galilee and was baptized by John in the Jordan. Just as Jesus was coming up out of the water, he saw heaven being torn open and the Spirit descending on him like a dove. And a voice came from heaven: “You are my Son, whom I love; with you I am well pleased.”
