Hey Beautiful People!

I can't believe it's been a month on the field so far! This month my team (group of women) had the great opportunity to work with a school/church in San Pedro. It's been a lot of manual labor. I think the Pastor was expecting men so he was a bit surprised. We've had to haul over 400+ concrete bricks to help build the pathway to the church and also worked at a camp that is being built by helping to create cement, move cement poles and help with fencing. It's been tough, not what I expected, month one but I've learned to really rely on God's strength when I feel weak. It was also such a privilege to be part of building a foundation for a place that will be used for God's work in the future. After all that manual labor I told God he had better send me to a ministry where I get to kiss babies and kids all day. The following day, I was told I was going to be going to an orphanage! It was just a day but it was so amazing just to play and love up on the kids. God has a way of treating me! On another note. My spanish is actually better than I thought as I've been serving as a translator for my team…not the best but Guatemalans understood me and that's all that matter 🙂

My squad and I were all together in Guatemala, as a result I'm sort of taking the easy route by sharing with you guys an awesome video my squadmate Carly put together of our time there. Hope you enjoy! This month in Nicaragua and the consequent months I'll have to work on putting together my own videos. Don't worry I have delegated one of my teammates to hold me accountable. It's been a bit difficult uploading photos on here so to view photos don't forget to visit my Facebook page: Travel With Tayo
