As I sit here in my Stearns and Foster ultra comfy mattress, I am truly dumbfounded of the experience I just had (pending recap blog). I was just in South Africa last month and it was just two months ago I was living in my tent in the middle of the desert in Botswana! God has been so good to me and have allowed me to have some incredible experiences I never in a million years thought I would have had the opportunity. I am so thankful to all of you who have supported me through your financial contributions, prayers, encouraging emails and comments on my blogs/photos! It all meant so much to me to know people believe in me and are willing to be a part of what God is doing in my life!
As much as I want to pick up and move to one of the countries I’ve fallen in love with and become a full-time missionary, I believe now is not the time to do that. That was confirmed as I received an email from a director in AIM, saying I have been invited to an exclusive opportunity called the Adventures Fellowship Program. After much praying and countless questions I truly believe this is the next step for me. As I continue to process what has happened the past 11 months, I see the race as my spiritual transformation and this program as my professional transformation. I’ve wondered if participating in this is me taking a step backwards in my career but quite frankly, I think not. As Robin S. Sharma said, “Investing in yourself is the best investment you will ever make. it will not only improve your life, it will improve the lives of all those around you.” This is me investing in myself and walking further into what God has for me. I’m beyond excited to be mentored and poured into professionally by people in an organization that has simply changed my life! Did I mention I'll also be able to mentor others?! A passion of mine if you've read this blog.
Now that I have walked you through my thought process in making the decision to accept the fellowship opportunity, here are some more details of the program and how you can help me!
