hey y’all! i’ve been getting a lot of questions about what my team does on a daily basis so here i am to fill ya in. we wake up everyday at 6:30am and have our devotional/quiet time. during my bible time i make coffee, and eat oatmeal with cinnamon and bananas everyday. after all of this i normally have about two hours until we leave for ministry so sometimes i hand wash laundry, read a book, chat with squad mates, or honestly just go back to bed for two hours. a morning nap helps get me through the day when the kids are full of energy. then we take a bus thirty minutes away to get to ministry at my carepoint, maba two. a carepoint is the thing the teams go to everyday to feed the kids and love on them. the kids greet us everyday with big smiles, and even bigger hugs. we play with them on the play set, teach lessons, teach songs, and then somedays we go on house visits or prayer walks. it’s been so cool getting to hangout with the locals and make friendships with the people that we meet. halfway through the day we eat lunch which is pb&j everyday. i love peanut butter so this doesn’t phase me at all. around 4pm we head back to our home, and eat dinner. then we have team time. during team time we have story telling, feedback, debrief questions, bible project devotionals, and free for all depending on the day of week. most nights we have squad worship before bed as well. so this is a day in my life, and i have loved every second of being in swaziland!
