Hello friend,

In the last several years, God has been growing me with experiences that I never thought I would have. He has given me experiences such as serving my country as an Army infantryman in Iraq, touring with some of the biggest bands in Christian music, and hosting a medieval dinner theater show on horseback. Through all of the God-given experiences, I have learned that nothing compares to knowing God and loving people. I look to know Him more, and learn to love people more fully on The World Race.

In December 2014, I felt Him opening the door for international mission work. I have known God would send me overseas for the past 7 years, but He had not opened that international missions door as a “goer” until now. In less than 3 months, my team and I will be going on a mission trip to 11 countries in 11 months to spread the love of God and the Gospel of Christ. This mission trip is called The World Race. We will be partnering alongside ministries in each country to see that the Good News of Christ is spread to the locals. Ministries include education, sports, VBS, construction, orphanages, street teams, door-to-door evangelism, etc. This trip will also disciple our team while we experience real and raw community and the abundant life Jesus has promised. The countries we will be living in are South Africa, Swaziland, Mozambique, India, Nepal, Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, Guatemala, Honduras, and Nicaragua. Here’s how you can get involved: First off, my team and I need your prayers. You can be praying that we will begin our ministry now here in the states. Also be praying that we are prepared spiritually, logistically, physically, and financially before we start the trip.

Also, I need your help financially. The mission trip costs over $16,000. This cost includes travel, lodging, food, insurance, setup, coaching, debriefing, training camp, and administrative expenses. I have raised over $1,200 so far, but I still have a long ways to go. You could donate a one-time gift or set up a monthly gift on my trip page at TaylorUpchurch.TheWorldRace.org under the tab “Support Me!” Online donations are the easiest way to support. If you prefer check donations, you may send them to Adventure in Missions with my name in the memo line.

I hope you will prayerfully consider supporting me. My heart burns to see people all around the world come to a knowledge of God’s love for them. I look to give all I have to serve “the least of these” and proclaim the Gospel to these countries. You can subscribe to my blog about my trip at TaylorUpchurch.TheWorldRace.org. On this blog, I will be giving updates on my trip, including videos and pictures, and revealing what God is teaching me. God has called me to go on the World Race and I pray that He will call you to send me. Thank you!

Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age. – Matthew 28:19-20
