So I have been in Panama for 21 days now. We leave next week and I literally cannot believe month one is coming to a close.
I have been so overwhelmingly blessed by this first month.
I have met so many new people, formed new relationships, increased my Spanish vocabulary ten fold and been surrounded by beautiful scenery each and every day. (I mean, we live right next to a beautiful volcano. What?)
My team and I have put on programs for the local orphanage and the local school; we have frequented the local nursing home and we painted the school. We have done projects around the YWAM base- from filling in a new foundation to cleaning and cooking. My team and I have also put on two VBS programs for the local kids, distributed Bibles and gone on prayer walks, and honestly, this is only the beginning.
But one phrase that the Lord keeps reminding me of over and over again is, “Be brave.”
And what’s funny is that this is really in direct opposition to what most people told me at home. The number one thing I heard was, “Be careful!”
And while it’s important to be aware and conscientious of your surroundings, the Lord doesn’t actually call us to be careful.
Careful doesn’t support local business- because what if I get sick?
Careful doesn’t walk up to someone’s door to give them a Bible- because what if I don’t know enough of their language?
Careful doesn’t form relationships with strangers- because what if they’re not good people?
Careful doesn’t try new things- because what if I look like a fool?
Careful doesn’t hold the hand of the elderly man at the nursing home or the child on the street- because what if I get sick somehow?
Careful doesn’t step out and follow the leading of the Lord, because, let’s be real, sometimes what He says doesn’t make any sense to us.
And I think we all need a reminder of this at times.
There have definitely been times in my life where the Lord called me to step out and I chose to remain careful and comfortable with where I was. Can you relate?
So, I am re-releasing my tshirts!
There are four options: tshirt, sweatshirt, tank top and children’s sizes. All are unisex. Each option also has multiple color options.
All the proceeds with benefit my Race, as I need around $9,500 to be fully funded.

So buy a shirt!
Buy one to support my Race.
But also, buy one as a reminder- the Lord calls you to brave each and every day.
Thank you all for the continued support and for keeping up with my journey! I wouldn’t be here in Panama with each and every one of your prayers and donations!
